Started doing comics when I was a baby Dorian, and I’ve never looked back.

It’s been some time and I’m happy to share with you an image from the upcoming book “Children of Resistance”. Here is a chilling image from issue one. All the art is done on an iPad Pro in Clip studio.

I’m currently very excited to do some work with Valliant on covers and interior pages! Can’t wait to be able to show publicly (until feb 2020). Until then, here’s a minor tease!

LAW OF RESISTANCE

This awesome project came out in Oct 2019 from PKMM Entertainment —an epic space adventure that I was lucky enough to co create , co write, pencil, and edit. This project gave me the opportunity to collaborate with great talent.

Completing this 6 issue run was a blast! Here’s a peak into the process:

Here is an example of the process used in a professional comic book. Mark Texeira and I collaborated on pencil art for this issue . We completed the pencil art for twenty two pages in seven days. We worked about fifteen hours per day with short breaks. To put this into perspective. A typical twenty two page comic book is penciled in four to six weeks. Yes, we needed a break after that so we went for ice tea on the beach for the eighth day and then back to work we went. The ink was done by Joe Weems. It takes a ton of talent and experience to solidify and maintain the visual “Look” of another artist. Joe being the consummate professional did his job exceptionally well. The color was done by Ross Campbell. Ross really pushed the complimentary colors here knowing that this is a high impact scene he went for high contrast to emphasize the moment.. It is expected, and understood, that the industry is based on collaboration. Each one of us helping to “Plus” the project with our input . The goal being to make the book as good as you can as a team.

X-MEN APOCALYPSE

A fun social media poster I did for X-Men Apocalypse.

I had the opportunity to design and be an advisor for “The Toon Studios” a few years back. I did all the rough designs for the Teen High School and Teen Zombie line. Advising on the models for the toy line was a fun experiences well. This was a great collaboration effort with Dream Team Creatives.

FAN ART

A fun part of the comics game is fan art and commission. Here are a few I’ve done over the years.

This piece was done for a massive GI Joe Collector. His daughter commissioned it for his birthday! GI Joe was definitely one of the “Toys that Made Me”, so this was a blast to revisit!
